Sao Paulo 2025 Home Kit
We are heading to Brazil for this latest edition of Shirt of The Week, more specifically to the most populous city in all of South America, São Paulo. SPFC have released their latest home shirt for the upcoming Brasileiro Serie A season, which kicks off on March 29th 2025. Manufactured by New Balance, this brand new shirt features the classic Sao Paulo base colour of white, together with the iconic red, white and black stripes running across the chest, along with a golden NB badge and main sponsorship from Superbet. The shirt’s design celebrates the 20th anniversary of Sao Paulo’s Club World Cup triumph of 2005, with a golden “2005” badge and “26:03” appearing on the reverse of the collar. This was the minute of the game Carlos Mineiro scored the winning goal in the final of the competition, securing a 1-0 victory over Liverpool. The core design of Sao Paulo’s home shirts have nearly always followed the same blueprint, with the same 3 colours appearing on the chest of almost all their shirts since the club's foundation in 1930.
The brand new home jersey was debuted by the club in a Paulista home tie against Mirassol on February 5th 2025, in which SPFC comfortably won the match 4-1. In 2024, Sao Paulo finished 6th in the Brasileiro Serie A with 59 points, 20 points behind champions Botafogo RJ.
