Crystal Palace have become the next Premier League club to drop their home jersey for the upcoming season! The new jersey features an exciting, unique blue and red striped pattern, with the club's eagle crest integrated into the design. Red, white and blue colours have been used for the trim on the sleeves and collar of the top. On the reverse of the kit, a stamp marking the 100th anniversary of Palace playing at Selhurst Park can be found, just below the collar.
The jersey is manufactured by Italian manufacturer Macron, entering their 3rd season of producing the club’s kits. Crystal Palace also unveiled new shirt sponsor Net88, which has come under heavy scrutiny. The Vietnamese betting company currently has hardly any online presence in the UK, yet the matches will be broadcast globally in many places where gambling is not legal.
Our Verdict
The new design Macron has come up with is very exciting and refreshing! The colours blend together perfectly and the encorporating of the eagle in the pattern, along with the 100th anniversary stamp are both brilliant enhancements. Unfortunately, we think the gambling sponsor ruins the design a little. Hopefully a sponsorless version will be available soon!
