January 2025 really has been the month of special shirts! FC Koln have just dropped this stunning brand new collaboration between themselves, Hummel and WE:FC to give us this jaw-dropping FC Koln 2025 retro kit. This new shirt will be released on January 20th in very limited quantities via the clubs online store, along with other supporting clothing as part of the Cologne Originals range.  The jersey was produced to celebrate the culture of football in Cologne, whilst also paying homage to the club’s great footballing history with a sharp classic looking design. The kit has a gorgeous off-white base colour that is complimented by a crisp maroon tone on the collar, sleeve ends and famous Hummel chevrons. The material of the shirt has a stunning waffle-like texture, accompanied by a classic embroidered badge which gives the jersey a real authentic retro look, almost as if it was pulled out of a time capsule from the 1990s. Retail and tourism group REWE remains as the main sponsor of the shirt, but with their logo appearing with a classic font to better match the style of the jersey.

It hasn’t been announced if the new jersey will be worn by the club for any official matches at this point. 1. FC Koln currently sit at the top of 2. Bundesliga with 31 points from 17 games. They will be hoping to continue their strong form into the 2nd half of the season, to secure promotion back to the German top flight after being relegated from the Bundesliga last season for the first time since 2018.
